Malaysian rising star Hakim Danish Ramli is determined to carry his impressive momentum into Round 11 of the 2026 Moto3 World Championship as the series heads to the iconic German Grand Prix at Sachsenring this weekend.
The AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi rider arrives in Germany full of confidence after producing the best run of his young Moto3 career. Hakim secured a historic maiden Grand Prix victory at the Czech GP, before adding another nine valuable championship points at the Dutch GP, lifting him to sixth place in the overall Moto3 standings.
Despite his recent success, the 18-year-old knows Sachsenring will provide a completely different test.
Widely regarded as one of the most technical circuits on the MotoGP calendar, the German venue features a narrow layout dominated by left-hand corners, demanding exceptional precision, consistency, and concentration throughout every lap.
Hakim experienced the circuit during last season’s Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, where he finished 10th in Race 1 before ending Race 2 in 18th position. However, his rapid development over the past year has significantly boosted his confidence heading into this weekend.
Hakim has used the week-long break to intensify his preparations, combining physical training with detailed race analysis, including reviewing last year’s Moto3 race at Sachsenring.
His remarkable consistency throughout the 2026 campaign has also placed him second in the Rookie of the Year standings with 82 points, just 20 points behind leader Brian Uriarte, keeping the Malaysian firmly in contention as the championship approaches the summer break.
Having consistently progressed into Q2 over recent rounds and regularly battling inside the leading group, Hakim is aiming to maintain that upward trajectory in Germany.
Speaking ahead of the German Grand Prix, Hakim expressed his excitement for the final race before the championship pauses for its summer break.
“This weekend I’ll be racing in the German Grand Prix, and I’m really excited because it’s the final race before the summer break.”
“I’ve been training very hard over the past week, reviewing my previous races and watching last year’s Moto3 race again to prepare as best as possible.”
“As always, my goal is to find my rhythm as early as I can. Sachsenring isn’t an easy circuit for me because it has so many left-hand corners, and its layout feels more like a karting circuit than a traditional Grand Prix track.”
“I’ll try to adapt as quickly as possible and give my best performance throughout the weekend.”
Following his breakthrough victory in the Czech Republic, Hakim Danish heads to Germany carrying growing expectations—not only as Malaysia’s brightest motorcycle racing prospect but also as one of Moto3’s standout rookies this season.
A strong performance at Sachsenring would further strengthen his position in both the overall championship and the Rookie of the Year battle, while providing the perfect platform before the Moto3 paddock heads into its mid-season break.
