Dion-Johan Cools, defender of Malaysia national team from Zulte Waregem admitted that he did not perform well in match against Singapore in the FAS Tri-Nation Series 2022 at the Singapore National Stadium yesterday.
Yesterday, this match end at Malaysia lost 2-1 and one of the goals scored by Ikhsan Fandi stemmed from Cools failing to return to defensive position after assisting the attacking line.
“I admit, this is my worst performance with the national team. I want to apologize to everyone. The previous match was a pretty good stunt, but this stunt was the other way around.” Dion said on Twitter.
“This is a part of life. Thank you for the support given and the next action maybe we can celebrate together,”
Malaysia will close the friendly match in Singapore against Albirex Nigata(Singapore) club in SIngapore Premier League in 28 March at Jalan Besar Stadium. And in this match, head coach Kim Pan-gon is expected to make exchanges and give opportunities to players who have not played against the Philippines and Singapore.
