Kelantan TRW FC, the club that inherited the status of KDN FC, has been navigating through a challenging recovery process after facing nine FIFA-imposed sanctions. These cases stemmed from legacy issues and financial obligations, which the current management has taken seriously in its mission to restore the integrity of Kelantan football.
In an official update by Tan Sri Annuar Musa, President of the club the club confirmed that eight out of the nine sanction cases have already been fully resolved. The final case has also been settled financially, but TRW must now wait for official confirmation from FIFA, which typically takes up to five working days to process and reflect updates in their internal system.
“Once a sanction is imposed, the clearance process becomes lengthy and complex. Clubs must handle it carefully and not take it lightly,” a club official stated.
The process doesn’t end with the lifting of sanctions. The club must also ensure that all International Transfer Certificates (ITC) for incoming players are completed before any official registration can take place.
“Every detail must be managed properly. Saving a football club is never easy—but we are committed to making it happen,” the statement concluded.
Kelantan TRW’s proactive steps signal a promising path forward, aiming to bring back stability and competitiveness to one of Malaysia’s most storied football institutions.
