Perak FC earned 3 points after invading to beat Negeri Sembilan FC scoring 2-1 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Paroi.
Despite the home advantage, K. Nanthakumar’s men missed out on several key opportunities, allowing Perak to dominate early on with four solid attempts from Clayton Da Silva, Luciano Quaycochea, and Wan Zack Haikal Wan Nor.
After a goalless first half, Perak broke the deadlock shortly after the break, with Clayton Da Silva calmly scoring in the 47th minute. Negeri Sembilan fought back, nearly equalizing in the 58th minute through a free kick from Takumi Sasaki, but Perak’s goalkeeper, Muhammad Haziq Nazli, made a crucial save.
Perak had a chance to double their lead in the 65th minute when they were awarded a penalty, but Luciano Quaycoche’s effort was saved by Muhamad Aqil Abdul Razak. Negeri Sembilan eventually found the net, but it wasn’t enough to overturn the result.
This defeat marked Negeri Sembilan’s seventh loss of the season out of nine matches, leaving them with just one win and one draw.
