Selangor FC has officially announced that Tan Cheng Hoe, head coach of the club, reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract immediately.
An official statement explained that the team had been informed of Cheng Hoe’s decision to leave the club to take up duties as head coach at a club in Thailand.
“SFC has also received compensation payments based on his contract. SFC would like to thank Cheng Hoe for his efforts and contributions to this club and wish him good luck in the future.” Selangor FC said in official statement.
“Nidzam Jamil has now been appointed as interim head coach and at the same time, the club management will carry out a detailed selection process to appoint a new head coach,”
Cheng Hoe, being appointed in September 2022, and let Selangor FC become runners-up in the Piala Malaysia 2022. Also, runners-up in the Liga Super Malaysia 2023 and also ensures the team automatically qualifies for the AFC Champions League 2 (ACL2) season 2024/25.
Now, Tan Cheng Hoe has rumours of being the new head coach of Police Tero FC, a club in Thai League 1.
