Sikh Izhan Nazrel, goalkeeper from Penang FC has been officially called up to join the Harimau Malaya central training camp, stepping in to replace Terengganu FC shot-stopper Rahadiazli Rahalim, who was forced to withdraw due to personal matters.
Harimau Malaya management has since issued an official statement confirming the development.
Sikh Izhan will join a competitive lineup of goalkeepers, including Syed Nasrulhaq Syed Bidin (Terengganu FC), Azri Ghani (KL City FC), and Haziq Nadzli (Perak FC). The team’s first-choice goalkeeper, Syihan Hazmi Mohamed, is set to report to camp on 25 May.
Currently back with Selangor FC following the end of his loan spell with Penang FC, Sikh Izhan brings impressive form into the camp — having kept eight clean sheets in 25 appearances for the northern side in the domestic league.
His call-up comes at a critical time as Malaysia gears up for their crucial 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualifier clash against Vietnam on 10 June.
