Nur Dhabitah Sabri, the Malaysian diver, successfully reached the semi-finals after finishing 8th in the semi-final rounds of the 3-meter springboard event Olympic 2024.
In today’s semi-final competition, the 25-year-old diver secured her spot in the final by accumulating 286.95 points, placing her among the top 12 out of 18 participants. Nur Dhabitah started strong with a score of 67.50 points on her first dive, followed by 55.50 points on her second dive and 46.50 points on the third. She then earned 57 points on her fourth dive, before closing with 60.45 points on her final dive, giving her a total of 286.95 points.
Joining her in the final are top competitors like Chiara Pellacani (Italy), Yani Chang (China), Alejandra Estudillo Torres (Mexico), Maddison Keeney (Australia), Julia Vincent (South Africa), Yiwen Chen (China), Grace Reid (Great Britain), Saskia Oettinghaus (Germany), Valeria Antolino (Spain), Emilia Nilsson Garip (Sweden), and Yasmin Harper (Great Britain).
Nur Dhabitah’s journey to the finals began with her strong performance in the qualifying rounds, where she placed 12th out of 28 participants with a score of 283.65 points after five dives at the Saint-Denis Aquatics Centre.
In previous Olympic appearances, Nur Dhabitah has consistently shown her skill and determination. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, she finished fourth in the 3m individual springboard competition with 326.15 points. In the Rio 2016 Olympics, she partnered with Cheong Jun Hoong in the 3m synchronized springboard event, finishing in fifth place.
With her solid performance in the semi-finals, Nur Dhabitah now looks forward to competing in the finals, aiming to make her mark on the Olympic stage once again.
