Makram Dabboub, head coach of the Palestine national team, remains optimistic about his team’s chances of posing a challenge to Jordan in their upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers Round 3 Group B matchday 2 fixture.
The match will take place tomorrow in Kuala Lumpur, and Dabboub is confident his squad can deliver a strong performance despite some challenges.
The coach highlighted that the team’s preparations have been thorough, especially after their impressive draw against South Korea.
However, he acknowledged that some players arrived late, and building on-field chemistry has been a priority.
Dabboub emphasized the respect Palestine has for Jordan, who are also finalists in the 2023 Asian Cup, but reiterated that his team would give their all in the match.
“We have great respect for Jordan, but our focus is on delivering the best possible performance. We know it’s going to be a tough challenge, but we are ready to fight for every point,” Dabboub said in Cheras today.
Dabboub also expressed confidence in Palestine’s ability to compete for advancement in the qualifiers, aiming for a top-four finish in the group stage.
