In 2022, Ma Ning took center stage as the main referee, with Cao Yi and Shi Xiang serving as assistant referees, all earning a coveted spot on the referee roster for the Qatar World Cup. This marked a historic moment for Chinese referees, boasting the highest number of representatives selected for a World Cup.
