Terengganu FC rescued a valuable point in dramatic fashion after scoring in stoppage time to draw 1-1 against Negeri Sembilan in the Liga Super Malaysia 2025/26 at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Paroi.
The Jangs fielded Azri Ghani in goal, with Luqman Hakim leading the frontline and Khuzaimi Piee marshalling the starting XI.
Terengganu, meanwhile, placed trust in Syed Nasrulhaq at the heart of defence, while Akhyar Rashid served as their attacking spark.
Junior Sam created the first major threat in the 8th minute, producing a dangerous attempt that was tipped away by Azri Ghani.
Terengganu’s mission became significantly harder in the 15th minute when Kyaw Min Oo was shown a straight red card—forcing TFC to play with 10 men for the next 75 minutes.
Moments later, disaster struck again for the visitors as Syed Nasrulhaq was forced off due to injury after a collision with Negeri Sembilan striker Jovan Motika, prompting a substitution in the 26th minute as Suhaimi Husin came on.
With numerical advantage and home backing, Negeri Sembilan controlled the tempo and generated waves of pressure.
Khuzaimi Piee almost broke the deadlock with a free header in the 41st minute but sent it wide.
Their breakthrough finally came deep into first-half stoppage time when Luqman Hakim directed a sharp header past Suhaimi Husin, giving Negeri Sembilan a well-deserved 1-0 lead at halftime.
Despite being a man down, Terengganu returned stronger and increased their intensity in search of an equaliser.
The Peteh side pushed aggressively, repeatedly testing the Negeri Sembilan defence even as The Jangs rode the wave of roaring home support.
In the 65th minute, Takumi Sasaki came close to doubling Negeri Sembilan’s lead, but Suhaimi Husin produced a brilliant fingertip save to deny the Japanese midfielder.
Terengganu continued to press in the final 15 minutes, with Akhyar Rashid attempting several penetrations down the flank, but the decisive goal remained elusive.
Just when Negeri Sembilan thought they had secured all three points, Ubaidullah Shamsul stunned the home crowd with a 93rd-minute equaliser, ensuring Terengganu escaped Paroi with a precious away point.
