Imigresen FC and Negeri Sembilan FC settled for a point apiece after a 1-1 draw in a fiercely contested Liga Super Malaysia 2025/26 at Stadium Negeri Pulau Pinang, Batu Kawan.
The visitors nearly struck early through Jovan Motika, who broke past home captain Rizal Ghazali in the 4th minute, only to blast his effort over the bar. Immigration responded with a free-kick from Keron Ornchaiyaphum in the 10th minute that drifted just wide before his second attempt minutes later was blocked by Alexander Agyakwa.
The breakthrough came in the 26th minute when Wilmar Jordan calmly converted a precise pass from Eduardo Sosa, finishing off a fine move initiated by Halim Saari to give Immigration FC the lead.
NSFC tried to find their way back, with Takumi Sasaki testing the goalkeeper from a free-kick in the 33rd minute, but his tame strike was easily gathered by Farhan Majid.
Persistence paid off for Negeri Sembilan in first-half stoppage time when Motika made amends for his earlier miss, latching onto A Selvan’s assist and slotting home the equaliser to make it 1-1 at halftime.
The second half saw NSFC maintain the pressure, earning a free-kick in the 51st minute, but Agyakwa’s effort failed to trouble the keeper. Immigration’s best chance came in the 74th minute when substitute Fayyadh Ghazali met Elvis Kamsoba’s cross, but the awkward bounce denied him a clean strike.
The final stages turned heated with minor scuffles breaking out, but neither side managed to find a winner as the points were shared.
The draw leaves both sides with work to do in their pursuit of consistency, as Immigration FC look to build momentum in their debut Super League campaign while Negeri Sembilan continue their hunt for a much-needed victory.
