Korea Republic Football Association(KFA) appointed Kim Do-Hoon, Korean coach age,53 to be interim head coach of Korea Republic national team for last 2 match in FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers Round 2 Group C in June.
Now, the Korean Republic national team has no head coach. After deciding to fire Jurgen Klinsmann, German head coach, after missing the finalist of the AFC Asian Cup 2023, and used Hwang Sung-Hong, head coach of the U23 squad, to temporarily act as the first team in a match against Thailand 2 matches in March.
Kim Do-Hoon, his outstanding work was leading Ulsan Hyundai to win the 2020 AFC Champions League and had previously led the Korea Republic U20 national team in 2014 before accepting work in the ASEAN region with Lion City Sailor in the Singapore Premier League in 2021 before being relieved of his position in 2022 and has been unemployed until now for more than 2 years.
Korea Republic national team passed the 3rd round. After collecting 10 points from 4 matches, they are at the top of Group C and will have a against the Singapore national team on 6 June at Singapore National Stadium, Kallang and the China national team on 11 June, at Seoul.
