Former MotoGP rider Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah delivered a commanding performance to secure victory after converting pole position into a dominant race win for JDT Racing Team.
Riding the powerful Ducati Panigale V4 R, Hafizh controlled the race from start to finish, showcasing his pace and consistency to claim a convincing win ahead of his closest challengers.
After producing strong results in qualifying, Hafizh edged the competition to secure pole position, starting from grid one.
When the lights went out, the Malaysian star immediately seized control of the race, maintaining the lead from Lap 1 while steadily building a gap over the chasing pack.
By the halfway mark, Hafizh had already established a four-second advantage over the rider in second place, putting himself firmly in command of the race.
As the race entered the final stages, Hafizh remained untouchable at the front. Despite pressure building behind him, the JDT Racing Team rider increased his advantage to over five seconds with just three laps remaining.
The race concluded with Hafizh crossing the line in first place while also recording the fastest lap of the race with a time of 2:05.677 minutes.
Japan’s Keito Abe, representing SDG HARC-PRO Honda Philippines, finished second, trailing the winner by 4.026 seconds.
There was further reason for celebration within the team as Hafizh’s teammate Andi Farid Izdihar produced a strong late charge to secure third place, finishing 5.291 seconds behind the race winner.
The result marked Andi’s first podium with JDT Racing Team, adding another highlight to the team’s impressive race weekend.
Two more Malaysian riders completed the top five, further underlining the nation’s strong presence in the race.
Riders from IDEMITSU Honda Racing Malaysia, Azroy Anuar and Zaqhwan Zaidi, finished fourth and fifth respectively, clocking time gaps of +7.899 seconds and +11.581 seconds behind Hafizh.
