Thailand has reaffirmed its full readiness to deliver one of the most extensive broadcast operations in SEA Games history, as representatives from ASEAN broadcasters gathered in Bangkok on 14 November for the official Broadcaster Meeting and Press Briefing ahead of the 33rd SEA Games and 13th ASEAN Para Games.
The meeting, held at Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel, brought together broadcasting delegations from across Southeast Asia to finalize preparations for the regional multi-sport event, which Thailand will host from 9–20 December 2025 across Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla.
Colonel Chuchart Pimprasert, Advisor to the Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) for International Sports Broadcasting, outlined Thailand’s comprehensive plan to produce and distribute the live broadcast feed.
He confirmed that Thailand is fully prepared to transmit all 31 sports — the highest number ever broadcast in SEA Games history.
Most ASEAN member nations have already confirmed their intention to receive Thailand’s international broadcast signal. The only countries pending formal confirmation are Cambodia, Laos, and Timor-Leste.
Thailand will broadcast in 1080i HD, with the first live event being the SEA Games men’s football opener between Thailand vs Timor-Leste on December 3, 2025.
Thailand will provide live coverage of all the following sports, marking the most extensive broadcast program ever undertaken at a SEA Games:
Athletics, Swimming, Badminton, Basketball, Football, Futsal, Gymnastics, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Weightlifting, Indoor Hockey, Track Cycling, Extreme Sports, Fencing, Boxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Pencak Silat, Taekwondo, Wrestling, Sepak Takraw, Sailing, Floorball, Karate, Kickboxing, Billiards/Snooker, Teqball, Esports, and Rugby Football.
