Selangor FC continued their impressive run in the Liga Super Malaysia 2025/26 with a commanding 4-0 victory over Imigresen FC at MBPJ Stadium, Petaling Jaya.
The Red Giants delivered a dominant performance in front of their home supporters, producing an attacking display that overwhelmed their opponents and reinforced their position among the league’s top contenders
Selangor fielded a strong starting eleven, with Kalamullah Al-Hafiz guarding the goal while national winger Faisal Halim captained the side.
Up front, the attacking partnership of Alvin Fortes and Chrigor Moraes was tasked with breaking down the Imigresen defence.
The visitors also arrived with attacking intentions, deploying Colombian striker Wilmar Jordan as their main threat while goalkeeper Zarif Irfan anchored the backline.
Selangor began aggressively, creating several early chances in the opening minutes.
Chrigor Moraes nearly opened the scoring early in the first half, but his attempt drifted just wide of the target. At the other end, Wilmar Jordan came close to giving Imigresen the lead before Kalamullah produced an excellent save to deny the striker.
Selangor eventually broke the deadlock in the 29th minute, when Chrigor Moraes found the back of the net to ignite celebrations among the home crowd.
The Red Giants doubled their advantage just before the break as Zikri Khalili struck during stoppage time, sending Selangor into halftime with a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Selangor maintained their attacking intensity after the restart, urged on by thousands of supporters inside MBPJ Stadium.
New signing Victor Pernambuco repeatedly tested Zarif Irfan with dangerous efforts, though the Imigresen goalkeeper produced several impressive saves to keep the scoreline respectable.
However, the resistance finally broke in the 80th minute, when Chrigor Moraes capitalised on a defensive error to score his second goal of the match and Selangor’s third.
Victor Pernambuco then sealed the emphatic victory late in the game, scoring his first goal for Selangor since arriving in Petaling Jaya on January 31.
The convincing win keeps Selangor firmly in second place in the Malaysia Super League standings with 39 points, maintaining their strong momentum in the title race.
Meanwhile, Imigresen remain in ninth position with 18 points after another challenging outing against one of the league’s top sides.
