The Malaysian Football League (MFL) today announced two leading local television stations, Astro and RTM as the official broadcasting partners of the Malaysian League 2023.
The involvement of Astro and RTM will promise a more comprehensive match broadcast and coverage for the Malaysian League this season for the satisfaction of home fans.
According to MFL President Dato’ Ab Ghani Hassan, the presence of Astro and RTM will add excitement to the new season of the Malaysia League 2023 which will start next February 24 with the opening act of the Charity Match between Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) against Terengganu FC at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.
“I believe, with the support and commitment of local broadcasters, it is not only for the satisfaction of the viewing quality of the fans in the country but it can also increase the commercial value of the Malaysian League which will ultimately provide a big return for the team and players.” MFL president said.
Meanwhile, MFL Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Ramalingam said, the pairing of Astro and RTM as broadcasting partners of the Malaysian League this season will meet the needs of local fans who want comprehensive and interesting coverage.
“MFL believes that these two broadcasting partners share an objective and focus on important content so we have found the best partner to rebuild the brand and impact of the Malaysian League to a higher level. With the expertise and experience that Astro and RTM have in the field of sports broadcasting, we hope it can meet the expectations and hopes of all fans,” he said.
All matches that will be broadcast by Astro in high definition (HD) including Piala Sumbangsih, Liga Super, Piala FA, and Piala Malaysia can be watched on linear platforms (TV), On Demand, and Astro GO.
While RTM will broadcast live 75 matches of the Malaysia League 2023 including several competitions including Piala Sumbangsih, Liga Super, Piala FA, and Piala Malaysia through TV2, TV Sukan RTM, and TV Okey channels as well as live streaming through the RTMKlik application.
