Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) has officially announced the appointment of Daniel Giménez Alcañiz as the club’s new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 Malaysia Super League season, entrusting the experienced Spaniard to lead the next chapter of the Hobin Jang Hobin project.
A holder of the UEFA Pro Licence, Daniel arrives with more than a decade of coaching experience across Europe, Asia and Africa, bringing an impressive résumé that includes success in continental and domestic competitions.
Throughout his coaching career, the Spaniard has managed several clubs and national youth teams, including Al Ahed FC, Al Nejmeh SC, Akhaa Al Ahly FC, the Lebanon Under-17 National Team, Al Hilal (Sudan), Modern Sport FC (Egypt) and most recently Al-Nasr Club in the Oman Professional League.
Among his notable achievements are guiding Al Ahed FC to the 2019 AFC Cup title and helping Al Hilal capture the Sudanese Premier League championship. Most recently, Daniel led Al-Nasr to a third-place finish in the Oman Professional League, securing qualification for the prestigious Arab Club Champions Cup.
The appointment reflects Negeri Sembilan FC’s long-term football vision, which prioritises youth development, a distinct playing identity, tactical discipline and the creation of a sustainable, competitive squad capable of challenging consistently in Malaysian football.

Negeri Sembilan FC Chairman Dato’ Seri Utama Aminuddin Harun said the club conducted a thorough selection process before identifying Daniel as the ideal candidate to lead its ambitious project.
