Dato’ Ab Ghani Hassan, president of the Malaysian Football League (MFL), wants the organization of the Malaysian League to be the best in the Southeast Asian region following Astro becoming the official broadcaster of the national football competition.
Astro and the Malaysian Football League (MFL) officially announced a three-year collaboration from 2023 to 2025 as the official broadcaster for all Malaysian League competitions including the Piala Sumbangsih (Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Cup), Liga Super, Piala FA, and Piala Malaysia.
Recognizing the importance of sports in nation building, Astro is committed to increasing the level of coverage of the local football league from live matches, behind the scenes training, the latest information on players and coaches, the latest football news and press conferences before and after matches. Providing comprehensive coverage to sports fans throughout Malaysia.
Dato’ Ab Ghani hopes that the broadcasting of local football matches that will be operated by Astro will be the best in the Southeast Asian region.
“We are very pleased with the collaboration with Astro, and I believe that with comprehensive coverage, it will be able to host the Malaysian League competition this time to be one of the best sporting events in Southeast Asia,” he said.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of Astro Group, Euan Smith, the partnership will begin with the opening match of the Contribution Match on February 24.
