Kim Pan-Gon, head coach of Malaysia national team revealed now still waiting for the medical report of the injury player Khuzaimee Piee and focusing on recovery after returning from Myanmar.
“We are waiting for the medical report on the injured players and I hope all the players are not seriously injured and can play.” Pan-gon said in Press conference.
“The AFF Cup competition has a tight schedule and this puts the players in a difficult situation. But all the players are professional. They know what to do and I hope we can give our best performance and record a win,”
When asked about Khuzaimi’s situation, Pan-gon refused to comment further where the coach from South Korean insisted that he is waiting for the report from the medical team about Khuzaimi’s situation and then he can make further decisions.
In addition, Brendan Gan midfielder from Selangor FC is ready if his services are required in the central defensive position in the second match of the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022 Group stage, Group B against Laos at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium tomorrow.
“I’m the type of player that if the head coach wants me to play as a goalkeeper, I will carry out that task. In which position I will perform later is not important. Who will play later, the coaching staff has done a lot of research on all the players and they know what the players are capable of.” Brendan said.
“If the head coach and other staff tell us that we can do the job well in some positions, we have full confidence that we are able to carry out the responsibility because they have studied all the players. Not just 23 players, but more than 300 players who play in the league. They know what all the players are capable of,”
