Malaysian rising star Hakim Danish Ramli faced a tough outing at Round 3 of the FIM JuniorGP World Championship 2025, as wet track conditions at the Magny-Cours Circuit denied him valuable championship points.
Racing for the SIC Racing MSi Team, Hakim endured an early fall due to treacherous weather but showed true grit by remounting and finishing the race in 30th position out of 32 riders — a commendable act of perseverance despite the odds.
The race was won by Soel Esteban from the CFMoto Aspar Junior Team, with Casey O’Gorman of Estrella Galicia 0’0 finishing second, and his Finnish teammate Rico Salmela completing the podium in third.
Hakim, who entered the round sixth in the overall standings with 38 points, now sits 43 points behind the current championship leader, Spain’s Brian Uriarte — who continues to be a strong rival in the title fight.
“This race was quite disappointing. I couldn’t finish in a better position because I crashed early in the race, which was run in wet conditions,” Hakim Danish said after the race.
“In the rain, I had no confidence with the rear tire. Every lap, I was losing control at the back. I tried to maintain momentum and stay with the front pack, but unfortunately, I fell.”
Despite the setback, the 16-year-old remains upbeat and focused as he prepares for his next challenge.
Hakim Danish is now turning his attention to the upcoming Red Bull Rookies Cup 2025 at the Sachsenring Circuit in Germany next weekend — a key opportunity to bounce back and prove his resilience.
“I’ll stay focused, and God willing, I’ll come back stronger next week at Sachsenring for the Red Bull Rookies Cup. I’m determined to deliver a better race,” added the young Malaysian hopeful.
