Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) booked their place in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final in emphatic fashion, crushing Real Madrid 4-0 in a stunning semi-final performance at the MetLife Stadium on Thursday morning.
In a clash that pitted two European giants against each other, both teams arrived in red-hot form, carrying momentum and ambition to secure a spot in the tournament’s showpiece finale.
PSG wasted no time asserting their dominance. Just six minutes into the game, midfielder Fabian Ruiz opened the scoring with a close-range finish following a chaotic scramble in Real Madrid’s penalty area.
Three minutes later, the Spanish giants were punished again when Ousmane Dembele doubled the lead, capitalizing on a costly error by Antonio Rudiger.
The French champions weren’t done yet. In the 24th minute, Fabian Ruiz struck again with a clinical effort, completing his brace and sending PSG into the break with a commanding 3-0 lead.
Real Madrid, led by attacking duo Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr, struggled to respond against a disciplined and ruthless PSG side. The second half began with PSG finding the net once more through Desire Doue, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Still, PSG capped off a brilliant performance late in the match when substitute Goncalo Ramos fired home a powerful strike to make it 4-0, beating Thibaut Courtois and putting the result beyond doubt.
With this resounding victory, PSG march into the final, where they will face Chelsea, who earned their spot by defeating Brazilian side Fluminense in the other semi-final.
