Italy national team keep the first victory after beating Albania national team, scoring 2-1 in the UEFA EURO 2024 Group Stage, Group B at BVB Stadion, Dortmund.
Albania, who got a tonic as a result of the goal, then dominated the first 10 minutes of the match through moves capable of threatening the Italian goal.
However, Italy’s attack after attack finally paid off when they managed to equalize in the 11th minute thanks to a header from defender Alessandro Bastoni who received Lorenzo Pellegrini’s pass.
Five minutes later, Albania’s goal was leaked again, this time through an attempt outside the penalty box made by midfielder Nicolo Barella to put Italy 2-1 ahead.
Italy then continued to attack in a flurry of attacks in their quest for a bigger goal, but the score remained 2-1 until the end of the first half.
Continuing the second half, Italy still hasn’t relaxed when attacking after attack to hunt for the third goal to put them in a more comfortable position.
Although Italy dominated the game, Albania was also seen occasionally launching an attack towards the Azzurri’s goal and managed to test the goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Although Albania struggled to find an equalizer to at least share a point, the score remained 2-1 until the end of the match.
