Azri Ab Ghani, goalkeeper of Kuala Lumpur City, has been called up to report for the centralised training camp of Malaysia national team beginning today in preparation for the two International Friendly Matches against Syria and China this coming 6 and 9 September in Chengdu, China.
Previously, Azri was listed on the Standby List, before being called up today and will replace Sabah FC’s goalkeeper, Damien Lim, who was unable to join this centralised training camp after being diagnosed with an injury.
Meanwhile, Johor Darul Ta’zim’s midfielder, Nathaniel Shio Hong Wan is also unable to join this centralised training camp after being confirmed to have an injury.
However, for the time being, there is no replacement from the Standby List to fill Hong Wan’s absence, keeping the squad at a total of 25 players.
