Malaysia U17 National Team continued their relentless chase at the top of Group C in the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers, securing their third consecutive victory with an emphatic 5–0 win over Macau at PVF Training Centre, Hanoi.
The young Harimau Malaya, led by head coach Javier Jorda Ribera, entered the tie full of confidence after back-to-back wins over the Northern Mariana Islands and Hong Kong — and they showed no signs of slowing down.
Malaysia controlled the match from the first whistle, with Aliff Ashraf delivering a stunning performance, netting a clinical hattrick to break down Macau’s defence.
Teammate Iman Danish added two more goals, sealing a convincing victory that reflected Malaysia’s dominance in every department.
The result pushes Malaysia to 9 points, level with Vietnam at the top of Group C.
Vietnam, playing simultaneously, registered a 2–0 win over Hong Kong.
This gives the Vietnamese a slight edge with a +22 goal difference, compared to Malaysia’s +19, keeping the race for top spot incredibly tight heading into the final two matchdays.
Malaysia U16 will face Singapore next, while Vietnam take on Macau on Friday, 28 November, both matches played at the same venue.
