Hakim Danish continued to show encouraging progress on the world stage after securing a place in the fourth row for the Moto3 French GP 2026 at Circuit Bugatti.
The young Malaysian talent will start Sunday’s Moto3 race from Grid 12 after delivering another competitive qualifying performance during Round 4 of the 2026 season.
Hakim earned direct promotion into Q2 following an impressive display in the Practice sessions, where he successfully finished inside the top four to avoid the added pressure of Q1.
Carrying that momentum into the decisive qualifying session, the Malaysian rider once again demonstrated solid pace and consistency against some of the category’s strongest competitors.
Hakim eventually concluded the Q2 session in 12th position after clocking a best lap time of 1:40.761, finishing just 0.717 seconds behind pole sitter Adrián Fernández of Leopard Racing, who stormed to pole position with a fastest lap of 1:40.044.
Despite narrowly missing out on the front three rows, Hakim’s performance once again highlighted his growing confidence and ability to compete consistently inside the highly competitive Moto3 field.
Starting from 12th on the grid also places the Malaysian youngster in a strong position to challenge for points when the lights go out at Le Mans.
The Circuit Bugatti is widely regarded as one of the most technical tracks on the calendar, demanding precision under braking and strong race management — qualities Hakim has steadily continued to improve throughout the early stages of the 2026 campaign.
