Liverpool Reds beating Manchester Reds 4-2 in the Battle of the Reds 2024 at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.
The clash between the legendary squads of the two giant English Premier League (EPL) clubs was lively in front of thousands of supporters with Djibril Cisse putting Liverpool Reds in front in the 16th minute.
However, the position only lasted for a minute when Manchester Reds came back to tie the score thanks to a goal contributed by Dimitar Berbatov.
The action continued to be interesting with the Manchester Reds also taking the lead from Danny Webber’s blast in the 39th minute before Cisse converted a penalty to equalize five minutes later.
Cisse then scored a hat-trick in the 51st minute and also scored a penalty before Florent Sinama scored the fourth goal in the 75th minute, completing a Liverpool Reds-style victory.
Former players in action include Dimitar Berbatov, Mikael Silvestre, Wes Brown and Teddy Sheringham for Manchester Reds.
Liverpool Reds also featured Emile Heskey, Djibril Cisse, Florent Sinama, Steve McManaman, John Arne Riise, Vladimir Smicer and Luis Garcia.
