Kelantan Red Warrior FC has announced a major leadership change, with club president Nik Hafiz Naim officially stepping down from his position effective immediately.
In a media statement released on Saturday, Nik Hafiz expressed his deep regret over the decision but confirmed that he is vacating the club’s highest office with immediate effect.
“I, Nik Hafiz Naim Nik Hassan, hereby resign from the position of President of Kelantan Red Warrior FC,” he declared in the statement.
Nik Hafiz took the opportunity to extend his heartfelt appreciation to the coaching staff, led by veteran head coach Irfan Bakti, who came out of retirement to support the East Coast club.
“First and foremost, thank you to Coach Irfan Bakti for believing in this club. Although he had retired from football, he returned solely because of Kelantan Red Warrior.”
“Thank you also to Coach Kamaruddin (Assistant Head Coach), Coach Sidek Samsuddin, Coach Ismail Chawalit, and the entire coaching staff and management team who have been the backbone of the club.”
He also expressed special gratitude to the Gerakan Selamatkan Kelantan (GSK) delegation, whose tireless efforts helped establish Kelantan RW and position the team on the national football map.
“Thank you to the Gerakan Selamatkan Kelantan (GSK) for joining me on this journey to form KRW FC.”
“Today, we have successfully placed this club on the Malaysian football scene. Thank you to my family, friends, and everyone who has consistently offered their support.”
Nik Hafiz did not forget to thank the loyal Kelantan football fans who have stood by him throughout his tenure, playing a vital role in lifting the club to where it is today.
“My deepest gratitude to all KRW FC supporters and fans for your love and support for me,”
“I hope the fans will continue to give their unwavering support to our beloved club moving forward.”
