Kuala Lumpur City has announced the appointment of Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, an ex-player of the Malaysia national team, to be the head coach of Kuala Lumpur City Extension(U23 squad) in Piala MFL for season 2024/25.
Famously known as “Matyo,” Norshahrul has left an indelible mark on Malaysian football history, notably during the 2010 national squad’s triumph in clinching the AFF Suzuki Cup.
Best known for his unique flair and guile, Norshahrul has been a cornerstone of Malaysian Football, contributing to three Super League titles, two Malaysia Cups, and two FA Cups. His remarkable achievements include securing three consecutive MVP titles.
Kuala Lumpur City Extension, in the last season(2023) under the control of Wan Rohaimi, ended as runner-up of Group B in the group stage and ended 6th rank in the championship round.
