Yokohama F.Marinos beat Celtic FC in Scottish Premier League with a score of 6-4 in the pre-season match ‘Celtic Japan Tour 2023’ at Nissan Stadium, Yokohama.

The score moves quickly in the game. In the 4th minute, Hart, who reacted to Marcos Junior’s through ball, made a catch mistake. A Lopez picked up the spilled ball and shoved it in, giving Yokohama FM the lead.

Celtic counterattacked in the 6th minute. Abada escapes as the flag bearer sends a through pass from the ball. Maeda made a side pass from inside the area to start the score. Maeda scored a goal against his old club.

In the 22nd minute, Hatate and Iwata connected to the right side. Maeda made a direct match with Abada’s grounder’s horizontal pass from the right side of the area, and Celtic reversed.

Yokohama FM recaptures the goal in no time. In the 23rd minute, Marcos Junior sent a cross to the opposite side from a pass on the left side, which was scored by Mizunuma, who was running, to tie the score again.

Marcos Junior cut Celtic’s build-up in the 33rd minute. A. Lopez shot the loose ball directly, but the ball went in front of GK Hart.

Celtic pushed again in the 42nd minute. After an assist from Iwata, Maeda scored his third goal of the day.

59 minutes into the second half, Celtic made a mistake in the build-up. He tried for a long ball, but it hit the opponent’s leg, and the ball went to A. Lopez, who was up front. A Lopez calmly played 1vs1 with GK to make it 3-3.

Celtic had an accident in the 60th minute. Kobayashi injured his ankle and was forced to make a substitution.

Yokohama FM reversed again in the 66th minute. Free and Sanefuji, who escaped from a through pass, shook the goal net.

Celtic, who were one point behind, replaced nine players in the 68th minute. Furuhashi was put on the pitch.

80 minutes passed as the flow of fighting for the initiative continued from possession to each other. In the 81st minute, Oh Hyun-gyu was knocked out in the area, but Celtic were not given a PK.

In the 84th minute, Miyaichi matched a cross from deep in the right flank. A headed bullet with a high RBI was decided, and Yokohama FM pushed it away. In the 89th minute, Miyaichi scored to make it 3 points behind.

The game ended with Celtic adding a goal just before the end. J.League champions Yokohama FM came from behind to beat Scottish champions Celtic 6-4.

All 5 Japanese players participated in Celtic. Maeda scored a hat-trick in the first half against his old team.
