Yazguly Hojageldiyev, head coach of Turkmenistan’s national team does not consider a higher ranking position as a guarantee for his team to win over Malaysia in the AFC Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers 3rd round Group E tomorrow night.
Turkmenistan has losing to Thailand 0-1 in the friendly match before the tournament at Sisaket, Thailand
“Even though our rankings are better, we still think this match is tough especially when it’s the first match where both teams want to win.” Yazguly, said.
“Honestly, I admit playing three group stage matches in a week is not an easy thing especially when we can’t do the preparations as expected.
“
“What is important, I hope the players can give their best and ignore the status of the opposing team as the host who has the advantage of playing in front of their own supporters,”
AFC Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers 3rd round Group E 1st match between Turkmenistan VS Malaysia will be kick-off on 8 June 2022 9.00 pm at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur
