Football Association of Thailand (FA Thailand), Revealed that it has submitted a request to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to host the AFC Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers 3rd round.
Previously, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) removed Thailand. Excluding WADA’s non-compliance list, Thailand can offer itself as the host of regional, continental and world sporting events.
“Thailand has made an offer to host the Asian Cup qualifiers in June. Expected to choose the host after knowing the result of the draw on February 24 that they will be in the group. Who and which team will be chosen in the host group? This will give a clearer picture of which country Thailand will have to compete with for hosting. But if the countries that join the group have experience in organizing the competition or the situation in the country is better it might be difficult.” Mr.Patit Supaphong secretary FA Thailand said.
“From now on, the AFC will consider the comparison with other nations. who introduced themselves The conditions for selecting the host must be the country in the competition. and have the right to be a host in the group that they belong to first If there is greater potential, it can host other groups, and the measure must be countries with no detention or minimal detention. In this regard, we will have to wait and see according to the situation. And in the near future, procedures and measures must be re-submitted to the AFC.”
