Malaysian Moto3 sensation Hakim Danish Ramli has put the disappointment of Silverstone behind him and is ready to launch a determined comeback at this weekend’s Aragon Grand Prix, with the 19-year-old targeting a return to the points and a stronger push in the championship battle.
Riding for AEON Credit – MT Helmets – MSi, Hakim was forced to retire early from the British Grand Prix after becoming involved in an incident with another rider and crashing.
Rather than allowing the setback to affect his confidence, the young Malaysian has responded by increasing his training intensity and reviewing the weaknesses identified from the Silverstone weekend.
Now, he arrives in Aragón with something else on his side — a winning history at the circuit.
The Spanish circuit is far from unfamiliar territory for Hakim.
In 2025, the Terengganu-born rider claimed victory in Race 2 of Round 3 of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup at Aragón, producing a remarkable late comeback after starting from seventh on the grid.
Hakim fought through the field before overtaking his rivals in the closing corners to secure a memorable victory.
That success ended a frustrating run in the Rookies Cup, where he had previously finished runner-up on five occasions.
Aragón therefore remains one of the most meaningful circuits in Hakim’s young career.
Now he hopes to turn those memories into fresh momentum in the Moto3 World Championship.
After 12 rounds, Hakim currently sits eighth in the Moto3 World Championship with 86 points.
He also occupies third in the 2026 Rookie of the Year standings.
The Malaysian is only 11 points behind Indonesia’s Veda Pratama, who currently sits second in the rookie classification with 97 points.
Argentina’s Brian Uriarte leads the rookie standings with 127 points.
With plenty of points still available during the remainder of the season, Hakim knows the championship battle is far from finished.
The objective is therefore simple: recover from Silverstone, rediscover his race pace and return to scoring points.
Hakim has spent the days since Silverstone reviewing what went wrong and preparing specifically for Aragón.
“After the British Grand Prix, I reviewed my weaknesses and made several improvements during training.”
He has also gone back to his previous experience at Aragón as part of his preparation.
“I also studied my Red Bull Rookies race at Aragón as preparation for this week.”
The Malaysian believes the additional work has strengthened his confidence heading into the weekend.
“I have trained harder and I am ready to give my best. I come here with confidence and I am ready to compete.”
For Hakim, having already conquered Aragón gives him something that cannot be measured purely in data. It gives him belief.
“I have won at Aragón before, and that experience will definitely give me additional confidence.”
The youngster intends to use that knowledge while adapting to the demands of Moto3 World Championship racing.
“I want to use that experience, together with all the preparation we have done, to come back stronger at Aragón.”
His message ahead of the weekend is unmistakable.
“I will give my best and fight all the way to get a positive result.”
