Thai Moto3 rider Tatchakorn Buasri has officially announced his retirement from professional racing at the age of 25, bringing an emotional close to a journey that saw him rise to the global stage.
The announcement came via his personal social media on March 26—his birthday—marking a deeply personal decision after years of chasing his dreams in international motorsport.
In a heartfelt statement, Tatchakorn explained that his decision was not driven by disappointment, but by fulfillment.
“I’ve decided to retire from racing starting now. Many people ask why—but I’ve already reached my dream. It may not be the dream of others, but I’ve proven to myself that I could become a world-class rider.”
“Since I was young, I’ve fought, cried, faced pressure, missed home, and experienced both happiness and hardship throughout my journey.”
“Thank you to everyone who supported me, even if I couldn’t reply to all your messages—I felt your encouragement. And to my family, who stood by me in every situation, I’m forever grateful.”
While stepping away from competition, Tatchakorn made it clear that his journey in motorsport is far from over.
He revealed plans to establish a racing team competing in Thailand’s domestic series, including the Thailand BRIC Superbike Championship and the FMSCT Thailand Road Racing Championship.
In addition, he is set to launch a training camp and racing management program, aimed at nurturing the next generation of riders using his international experience.
“I want to bring world-class training, fitness programs, and riding skills to support young riders.”
Looking beyond rider development, Tatchakorn also shared ambitions to create a comprehensive motorsport hub, including a flat track and motocross facility in Pak Chong, inspired by his experiences in Spain.
His vision extends even further, blending sport and entrepreneurship, as he also promotes his family-run betta fish farm business.
Despite retiring from racing, Tatchakorn reassured fans that he will remain actively involved in the sport.
“Even though I’ve retired, I’m not going anywhere. See you again.”
For the record, Tatchakorn, aka ‘Kong’, has 35 race appearances in the 3 seasons of Moto3 World Championship since the 2023 season with Honda Team Asia, and earned 2 points.
