Stefan Tarkovic, head coach of the Kyrgyz Republic National Team, will not succumb to the pressure surrounding the team ahead of the match against Malaysia in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers Round 2, Group D, at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, tomorrow night.
“I like pressure, and pressure is normal in football. This is my biggest game and this (against Malaysia) is the start of our objective to qualify for the next round.” Tarkovic said in a Pre-Match press conference.
“Everyone dreams of going to the World Cup, so do we and to qualify for the World Cup, we have to pass this round first. So we will fight all the way to achieve this dream.”
“Even though Oman is the favorite team, I still see this as a challenging competition. I think the two teams that qualify for the next round will be decided on the last day of the match,”
“I think Malaysia is a good team but we have also analyzed their performance and also the individual performance of the players. Everything depends on the action on the field later.”
“We need to take advantage of their weaknesses and try to avoid them using their strengths. I expect this to be an intense action and we need to give a performance at the highest level,”
