PETRONAS Malaysia Open 2025 has undergone a scheduling adjustment after a roof leak disrupted play at the Axiata Arena on Tuesday, January 7.
Several matches originally planned for Day 1 have been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 8, to ensure fair competition and sufficient recovery time for the affected players.
The following matches have been moved to Day 2:

- Pornpawee Chochuwong vs Anupama Upadhyaya
- Aakarshi Kashyap vs Julie Dawall Jakobsen

Additionally, the men’s singles match between H.S. Prannoy and Brian Yang, which was halted earlier on Court 3, will also resume on Day 2.
Play was interrupted at 3:56 PM local time on Court 2 during the second game of a women’s doubles match featuring Jia Yi Fan/Zhang Shu Xian against Go Pei Kee/Teoh Mei Xing. The match was later moved to Court 3, where it resumed at 8:00 PM, ensuring that the day’s proceedings could continue despite the setback.
