Selangor FC take advantage in the first leg after beated Terengganu FC with a score of 3-1 in the TM Piala Malaysia 2022 semi-final 1st leg at MBPJ Stadium, Petaling Jaya.
Tan Cheng Hoe’s control squad was first surprised by TFC’s opening net after the captain’s free kick, Tchetche Kipre in the 19th minute successfully killed the goalkeeper, Khairulazhan Khalid.
This advantage, however, was extinguished by Selangor in the 37th minute when Richmond Ankrah headed in Mukhairi Ajmal Mahadi’s corner kick.
Six minutes later, it was the turn of the Selangor striker, Herlison Caion, who also put his troops in front after heading in Mukhairi’s corner kick.
Mukhairi’s corner continued to bring good luck to Selangor as he once again sparked the Reds’ third net and this time ended with Sharul Nazeem Zulpakar’s header in the 54th minute.
Selangor also had several more opportunities to add goals, but failed to finish with a net and the 3-1 position in their favor remained until the final wisel.
The decision saw Selangor bring comfortable supplies to travel to the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium for the second action, this Monday.
