Rifdean Masdor, a Malaysian fighter, has officially secured the biggest opportunity of his career after earning a shot at ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Nadaka Yoshinari at ONE Samurai 4, scheduled for October 17 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
For Riffdean, this is more than just a world title fight—it is an opportunity to become Malaysia’s second-ever ONE World Champion, following compatriot Alif Sor Dechapan, while ending one of the longest unbeaten streaks in world Muay Thai.
Riffdean heads into the championship bout in outstanding form, establishing himself as one of ONE Championship’s fastest-rising stars.
The Malaysian has won seven of his last eight fights under the ONE banner and is currently riding a five-fight winning streak, collecting four performance bonuses along the way.
His latest statement came at The Inner Circle 19 in June, where he knocked out Javad Mozafari in the opening round to secure a lucrative ONE Championship contract worth more than RM3.2 million.
Immediately after earning his contract, Riffdean made no secret of his ambitions.
He publicly called out Nadaka, declaring his desire to challenge the Japanese superstar and end the champion’s remarkable unbeaten run.
Nadaka enters the contest unbeaten in 41 consecutive professional fights, having become the inaugural ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion after defeating Numsurin Chor Ketwina at ONE 173 in November 2025.
The Japanese champion successfully defended the belt for the first time at ONE Samurai 1 in April, defeating Songchainoi Kiatsongrit by unanimous decision.
Another victory would see Nadaka extend his incredible record to 42 straight wins while completing his second successful title defence.
