Malaysia’s wildcard hero Hakim Danish Ramli continued to make headlines at the Malaysian Grand Prix 2025, qualifying 14th overall in the Moto3 Q2 session with a fastest lap time of 2:11.487 minutes, just 1.641 seconds off the pole position pace.
Riding for AEON Credit SIC Racing MSi, the 18-year-old displayed composure and consistency in a highly competitive qualifying field filled with world-class riders. Despite making his wildcard debut in the Moto3 World Championship this weekend, Hakim showed confidence and speed throughout all sessions at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC).
His performance in Q2 followed a strong showing in the earlier practice sessions, where he secured direct qualification after finishing 11th fastest in the combined times.
Pole position in the Moto3 class went to Spanish rider David Almansa from LEOPARD Racing, who set the fastest lap time of 2:09.846 minutes.
Hakim, competing against the best young talents in the world, has impressed the paddock with his pace, maturity, and determination — proving he belongs among Moto3’s elite.
With thousands of Malaysian fans expected to fill the grandstands on race day, all eyes will be on Hakim Danish as he looks to deliver another spirited performance on home soil.
