Kim Pan-Gon, Head coach of Malaysia national team head coach, hopes to grab 3 points in this match to take a semi-final round against Vietnam national team in AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022 Group stage, Group B tomorrow.
Malaysia has 6 points from 2 matches won consecutively over Myanmar and Laos and just needs 3 points to confirm pass to the next round.
“We need three points to confirm our place in the semi-finals as group champions.” Pan-Gon said in a pre-match press conference today at VFF office.
“As we know, Vietnam is the strongest team in the region, we (the coaching team) know their strengths and weaknesses, we have given all that information to the players,”
“But the Malaysian national team has also gone through various tough situations and played in difficult matches. We are not afraid of any opponent in front of us, we will fight Vietnam as hard as we can,”
Meanwhile, Pan Gon said Hang Seo is a highly respected football coach in South Korea and it is a great honor to compete with him in this tournament.
“He is more senior than me, and to me coach Park is a very respectful person and (South) Koreans love him very much. I am proud to compete on the same stage as him,” he said
AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022 Group stage, group B third match between Vietnam national team and Malaysia national team will compete on 27 December 2022 at 8.30 pm (Malaysian time) at the My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi live on Astro Arena 2(Astro Box channel 802).
