Malaysia’s young motorcycle racing sensation, Hakim Danish Ramli, has officially been announced as a full-time rider in the Moto3 World Championship 2026, where he will compete with MSi Racing Team — marking a major step forward in his international racing career.
The announcement came ahead of this weekend’s Malaysian MotoGP 2025 at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC), where the 18-year-old will also represent Malaysia as a wildcard entrant in the Moto3 class. Hakim impressed during practice sessions, finishing eighth in Free Practice 1 and 11th in Free Practice 2, showcasing strong pace against the world’s best young riders.
“Of course, this news makes me extremely happy — it gives me extra motivation and energy to work even harder this weekend,” said Hakim Danish.
“I’m very excited to join Moto3 next year with the MSi Racing Team. This is truly a dream come true, and I can’t wait to give 100% of my effort next season.”
Hakim expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported his journey from Malaysia’s local racing scene to the world stage.
“Thank you so much to the MT MSi Racing Team, Jordi, Oscar, my sponsors — KBS, SIC, ZK Racing, and Terengganu Inc — and to all my fans who have always believed in me. I wouldn’t have made it this far without you all.”
For the 2026 season, Hakim Danish will team up with Ryusei Yamanaka of Japan, following the promotion of Angel Piqueras to the Moto2 World Championship.
The move is a significant milestone for Malaysian motorsport, continuing the nation’s proud legacy in Grand Prix racing after previous national stars like Hafizh Syahrin and Khairul Idham Pawi made their mark on the world stage.
Hakim’s entry into Moto3 2026 signals not only the growing strength of Malaysia’s rider development program — backed by ZK Racing, Sepang International Circuit, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) — but also renewed hope for Malaysia’s return to prominence in global motorcycle racing.
