Faisal Halim, a midfielder of Selangor FC has been banned for 1 month, according to the statement of Selangor FC. due to him was involved in an interview with the media after the match Selangor FC lost to Sabah FC 1-2 on 28 April. Which interview made a sensitive statement.
“Faisal Halim will be unavailable for matchday selection as he has been suspended for four (4) months, due to a media statement made after the match against Sabah FC on 27.04.2023.” Selangor FC said in official statement.
“On 25.07.2023, club representatives and the Player appeared before the Disciplinary Committee to attend the Disciplinary Hearing. Today, we have been informed of the decision made by the Disciplinary Committee and the Player will serve the suspension as follows:
- One (1) Month suspension to be served from 25.07.2023 until 23.08.2023
- The remaining three (3) months of suspension will be postponed, (subject always to the good behavior of the Player for twelve (12) months commencing 24.08.2023 until 24.08.2024)
“The Player will not be available for the matches against Johor Darul Ta’Zim, Kuala Lumpur City, Negeri Sembilan FC, and both legs of the Piala Malaysia match against PDRM FC.”
