Kuala Lumpur City, got their first win of the season after win Melaka United, with a score 2-0 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2022 at the KLFA Stadium, Cheras.
The hosts were in front as early as the 3rd minute after Josue took advantage of the negligence of the Melaka defense to fire a shot into the right corner over Norazlan Razali’s goal.
Josue then doubled the lead in the 29th minute, this time through a close-range finish from inside the penalty area.
Meanwhile, the action at the Darul Makmur Stadium, Kuantan saw Sri Pahang FC desperate to grab their first victory after being tied 1-1 by Petaling Jaya City in the last minutes.
Tok Gajah took the lead since the 38th minute thanks to Manuel Hidalgo’s goal but they lost their eyes when the referee allowed R. Barathkumar’s equalizer even though the goal was initially disallowed because some PJ City players were offside.
