Malaysia’s rising Moto3 talent Hakim Danish Ramli delivered a promising performance on Day 1 of the Spanish Grand Prix 2026 at Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto, signaling steady improvement as the season gathers momentum.
Representing AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSI, the 18-year-old began his campaign cautiously in the morning Free Practice 1 (FP1), posting a time of 1:46.391 minutes to place 21st out of 26 riders.
Hakim Danish bounced back impressively in the afternoon session, refining both pace and consistency to clock a significantly improved 1:44.887 minutes. The effort lifted him to 17th overall—an encouraging step forward in a highly competitive Moto3 field.
The session was topped by Maximo Quiles of CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team, who set the benchmark with a time of 1:44.078 minutes.
Close behind was David Munoz from Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP at 1:44.119 minutes, while Valentin Perrone of Red Bull KTM Tech3 secured third with a 1:44.325 minutes lap.
Because he finished outside the top 14, Hakim’s path to a good grid position just got a lot tougher. Tomorrow, he enters the Q1 to take the top 4 to reach the Q2 pole position shootout.
