Malaysia’s rising Moto3 star Hakim Danish will remain on the world stage in 2027 after officially extending his partnership with MSi Racing Team, securing his place on the Moto3 World Championship grid for another season.

The confirmation represents a major vote of confidence from the Spanish outfit, which has backed Hakim’s development throughout his breakthrough 2026 campaign.

The 19-year-old Malaysian will enter the 2027 season with a new challenge alongside Argentine rider Valentín Perrone, who will join the MSi Racing Team line-up.

For Hakim, the deal provides another important opportunity to continue his development in one of the most competitive categories in the FIM MotoGP World Championship.

Hakim has enjoyed a landmark 2026 campaign, establishing himself as one of the most promising young riders in Moto3.

His breakthrough came at the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello, where he secured his first-ever Moto3 World Championship podium.

He then went a step further at the Czech Grand Prix in Brno, producing a historic performance to claim his maiden Moto3 Grand Prix victory.

That victory also ended a decade-long wait for Malaysia to celebrate a Moto3 World Championship race winner, placing Hakim firmly among the country’s most exciting motorsport prospects.

His performances, combined with his progress in working with the MSi Racing Team and adapting to the demands of Grand Prix racing, have convinced the team to retain him for another season.

Hakim will now have the opportunity to build on his experience rather than making another immediate move, giving him greater continuity with the machinery, engineers and technical structure that have supported his development.

MSi Racing Team will enter 2027 with an exciting young line-up, with Hakim joined by Argentina’s Valentín Perrone.

The partnership gives the team another promising rider with significant potential as Moto3 enters a new chapter.

MSi has established a strong reputation for developing young talent, having previously achieved success in the World Championship and helped riders progress through the Moto3 and Moto2 ranks.

The team’s technical expertise and professional development structure have also made it an important part of Hakim’s progression toward the highest levels of motorcycle racing.

Hakim’s continued presence at MSi also strengthens the long-term relationship between ZK Racing and MSi Racing Team.

Since 2023, the two organisations have worked together through the prestigious FIM JuniorGP programme as part of a wider commitment to developing Malaysian riders for the international stage.

The pathway is designed to provide Malaysian talent with a structured route from junior competition into the Moto3 World Championship, before potentially progressing toward Moto2 and eventually MotoGP.

The partnership has already played an important role in creating opportunities for Malaysian riders, including Syarifuddin Azman, who competed in Moto3.

For Hakim, the continuation of that relationship represents another crucial step in a carefully planned international career.

Hakim welcomed the announcement and expressed his gratitude to MSi Racing Team for continuing to believe in his potential.

“I am really happy and grateful to continue with MSi Racing Team for the 2027 season. We have built a very good relationship throughout this season and the team has always supported me, both on and off the track.”

“I cannot wait to continue working hard with the team and fight for even better results next season.”

The Malaysian rider’s comments underline his desire to continue developing rather than rushing through the Moto3 category.

With another full season ahead, Hakim will have more time to sharpen his race craft, qualifying performance and technical understanding before eventually targeting the next step in his career.

MSi Racing Team co-owner Teo Martín said the team was excited about its 2027 rider line-up and highlighted the decision to retain Hakim as evidence of the confidence the organisation has in its young stars.

“We are very excited about our rider line-up for the 2027 season. Retaining Hakim Danish, Ángel Piqueras and Iván Ortolá demonstrates our confidence in their talent and in the work we have built together.”

“The arrival of Valentín Perrone further strengthens our commitment to developing young riders with a bright future.”

Martín added that MSi enters the new season with a strong structure and ambitions to continue fighting for top results in both Moto3 and Moto2.

ZK Racing team manager Zulfahmi Khairuddin also welcomed the continuation of Hakim’s MSi journey, describing the extension as an important recognition of the rider’s progress.

Zulfahmi believes staying with the same team is the right decision for Hakim at this stage of his career.

He stressed that despite Hakim’s maiden Grand Prix victory and first podium in 2026, the young Malaysian still has plenty to learn in Moto3 before considering a move into a higher category.

“I believe Hakim Danish still has many things to learn in this category before moving to the next level.”

Zulfahmi also praised MSi’s competitive machinery, technical structure and the close relationship developed between the Malaysian side and the Spanish team.
