Malaysian Football League(MFL) has punishment Selangor FC deducting 3 points and fining RM100,000 due to case not attending in match Piala Sumbangsih 2024 with Johor Darul Ta’Zim on 10 May 2024 at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri.
Members of the Board of Directors of the Malaysian Football League (MFL) have held a meeting to discuss of this case. and considering each factor of the case, the Board Members who attended the meeting unanimously made the following decision;
- A fine of RM100,000.
a. This fine money will be donated to a charity, which will be decided later. - Compensation payment for losses incurred by the host team JDT and MFL.
a. MFL will collect the information and costs submitted by JDT and the MFL Secretariat before submitting it to Selangor FC for further review and discussion. - Deduction of three (3) points in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25.
- The Super League match (LS14) involving Selangor FC against JDT at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium will be played without spectators.
a. The operation of this match will be carried out in collaboration between the MFL and Selangor FC with the condition of the inclusion of selected representatives of both clubs who will be coordinated for attendance on the day of the match.
