PDRM FC have reiterated their commitment to settling all outstanding player salaries as newly appointed Group CEO Roslan Abu Bakar assured stakeholders that the club will not evade its financial responsibilities despite long-standing arrears carried over from last season.
Roslan, who took over the management of The Cops only a few months ago, said he is currently reviewing every document and financial report related to the club’s internal debt issues.
In a firm statement, Roslan stressed that the club remains fully accountable for resolving the wage crisis.
“PDRM FC will not run away from its responsibility to settle the outstanding player salaries.
I am currently reviewing all documentation related to the arrears.
What is certain is that we are committed to paying the RM70,000 fine imposed by MFL and ensuring every related issue is handled properly.”
The Malaysian Football League (MFL) announced yesterday that both PDRM FC and Kelantan The Real Warriors FC (TRW) were fined RM70,000 each for unresolved salary arrears.
The First Instance Body (FIB) has given both clubs until 31 December 2025 to clear all outstanding payments. Failure to do so will trigger stricter sanctions under Article 14(1)(e) of the 2025–2026 MFL Financial Fair Play Regulations—including potential transfer bans or further penalties.
Roslan emphasised that stabilising the club’s finances is now the highest priority as PDRM FC look to recover operationally and eliminate off-field distractions.
“My priority is to find the best solution to settle all debts owed by PDRM FC so the team can compete without issues this season.
We are working hard to stabilise the club and restore confidence among players, supporters, and stakeholders.”
With the FIB deadline looming and expectations from fans rising, PDRM FC’s financial restructuring will be crucial to ensuring that the club avoids harsher consequences and can refocus on improving on-field performance.
