The First Instance Body (FIB) is taking necessary steps to address the allegations raised by Syed Yazid Syed Omar, the Director of Kuala Lumpur United FC Sdn Bhd, regarding the licensing of Kuala Lumpur City FC for the 2024/25 season.
The FIB Committee initially granted the license based on the following documentation:
- A declaration letter from the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) dated August 28, 2023, confirming no arrears of payment as of June 30, 2023.
- Another declaration letter from the EPF dated March 29, 2024, confirming no arrears of payment as of December 31, 2023.
These documents were pivotal in the FIB’s decision to grant the license. However, due to the recent dispute over the validity of these documents, the FIB has decided to launch an investigation to clarify the situation.
Tuan Sheikh Mohd Nasir Sheikh Mohd Sharif, Chairman of the FIB, has affirmed that the investigation will commence immediately to ensure transparency and integrity in the licensing process.
