Malaysia U22 national team has announced 25 players in squad to participate in the central training camp from 19-21 April 2023 to prepare for Men’s Football in the 32nd SEA Games 2023 from 29 April – 16 May 2023 in Cambodia.

From that list, Mukhairi Ajmal who previously missed out with the U22 squad is now back with the E. Elavarasan run squad which is seen retaining the majority of players who played in the Merlion Cup 2023 last month.
As for the central training camp call this time, it is divided into two phases, Phase 1 where all players are required to report on this Wednesday, April 19 for three days of training until Friday, April 21, 2023.
The players will be given a two-day Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday on April 22 and 23, before they have to report in stages for the Phase 2 central training camp starting Monday, April 24, 2022, depending on their involvement in Liga Super Malaysia matches with their respective clubs. in the week in question.
Malaysia U22 national team will leave for Cambodia on 2 May 2023 and open the Group B competition against Laos on 3 May 2023 then against Thailand (6 May 2023), and Vietnam (8 May 2023) before closing the group stage competition meet Singapore on 11 May 2023.
If the national team successfully passes the group stage, they will play in the semi-finals on 13 May 2023 and the final and the 3rd/4th place will take place on 16 May 2023.
