Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has officially confirmed that Nilai City SC has withdrawn from the Malaysia Premier Futsal League (MPFL) Division 2 2025, effective immediately.
The decision was formalized through an official withdrawal letter received by FAM earlier this morning. Nilai City SC cited breaches of contract involving several key players, who failed to report for training and matches, as the primary reason behind the withdrawal.
As a result, all seven of Nilai City SC’s previous match results have been voided, including:
- 2-2 draw vs ATM
- 4-3 win over PJ Champz FC
- 2-6 loss to Negeri Sembilan United FC
- 3-1 win against Canaan FC
- 1-2 loss to PFA Odin Sarawak
- 0-5 loss to Pulau Pinang
- 0-4 loss to Kelantan FT
In addition, two upcoming fixtures – against USMKK FC (today at 4:00 PM) and Kuala Lumpur 2 (tomorrow at 4:00 PM) – have also been cancelled outright.
FAM also announced that disciplinary action may follow, including fines or suspension, pending decisions from the FAM Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee and the FAM Disciplinary Committee.
The updated MPFL Division 2 2025 standings, adjusted to reflect the annulled results involving Nilai City SC, will be published following the conclusion of Matchday 9 today.
This withdrawal marks a significant disruption in the season, and FAM is expected to further review regulatory frameworks to prevent similar issues in the future.
