“We didn’t expect it to be an easy game, and this is the very first game of Kelantan United in the Malaysia Super League in the club’s history. We want to give our best to fight for a good result.”, says the Head Coach of Kelantan United, Tomas Trucha.
“I will not say I am angry, sad, or disappointed when you lost 1-0 from a set piece. It was closed. I said, don’t repeat for the game that we are not 100% ready yet.”
Trucha added that the team is still adjusting; some are injured, and some are still achieving their best. The team will perform when they are 100% ready.
“We wanted to win, to be honest; we wanted to win and to take the points. We didn’t come for one point, it’s not my style. Even in pre-season training sessions, we wanted to win every game.”
“Yes, we tried, to be honest. In the first half, we lost a lot of balls. We didn’t pass the ball to the correct position. However, I believe we started to play better in the second half. We created a few chances, but we did not convert it.”
Asking how he prepared the game, “We studied our opponent’s play. Since I came to Kelantan United, I told my team to expect what kind of players we had and how to fit we were.”
“Look, as the coach of Kelantan United, I cannot say to the management like bring me, other players. Everybody has room for improvement, even me as the coach and the players. We are trying to keep balance and a good transition from defense to attack. During the set piece, we have to do it better.”
